Betsy Elwood, MS, CRC: Betsy has spent the last 18 years working in the field of rehabilitation. She is a
Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and currently practices
EEG biofeedback (neurofeedback) as an affiliate with the Center for Life Enhancement.
Betsy received her Master’s degree in
Rehabilitation Counseling from
Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in 1990 and has taken post graduate courses in educational psychology at the
University of Maryland, College Park and special education at VCU. She is currently enrolled in post graduate studies in Professional Counseling at VCU. In addition to training in neurofeedback and experience working as a certified rehabilitation counselor, Betsy has been trained in PECS (
Picture Exchange Communication System) and in techniques of
Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). As a certified rehabilitation counselor, Betsy also has experience in career and transition counseling for young adults with disabilities.
Betsy’s expertise lies in using neurofeedback and a "life coaching" approach to counseling with children and adults with ADD/ADHD, depression and anxiety.
